Why Hike The Ausangate Trek 5 Days?

Starting from traditional Andean settlements in the Cusco highlands, the route gradually climbs into rugged terrain dominated by the immense presence of Ausangate, the tallest peak in southern Peru. Throughout the trek, travelers experience the raw beauty of the Vilcanota Range, crossing sweeping valleys carved by ancient glaciers and passing shimmering high-altitude lagoons that reflect the surrounding peaks. Visitors should be aware that things change, or may not go to plan.
